  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.

  2. In a food processor, combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, and olive oil. Blend until smooth.

  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Drain cooked spaghetti and mix with the pesto sauce until evenly coated.

  5. Serve hot and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
