Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Cook the butter, swirling occasionally, until it turns a golden brown color and gives off a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Add the minced garlic to the brown butter and cook for an additional 1 minute.

  4. Toss the cooked linguine in the brown butter sauce until well-coated.

  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the brown butter linguine immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
