How To Make Surf and Turf for Two

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) filet mignon steaks
  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or broiler to high heat.

  2. Rub the steaks and shrimp with olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness. Remove from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  4. Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt. Cook the shrimp in the butter for about 2 minutes per side or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

  5. Serve the grilled steaks and shrimp together, garnished with fresh parsley.
