Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Grease individual ramekins or a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

  3. Crack 2 eggs into each ramekin or the baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and grated cheese evenly over the eggs (if using).

  5. Place the ramekins or baking dish in a larger baking pan and pour hot water into the pan until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins or dish.

  6. Carefully transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the whites are set but the yolks are still slightly runny.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve hot.
