Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the air fryer basket, spacing them apart to allow for expansion.

  7. Cook the beignets in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  8. Remove the beignets from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.

  9. Dust the beignets with powdered sugar and serve warm.
