Cardamom and Almond Biscotti Recipe

How To Make Cardamom and Almond Biscotti

Crunchy biscotti flavored with nutty almonds and fragrant cardamom.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cardamom.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla with an electric mixer until pale yellow and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

  4. Stir in flour mixture and chopped almonds until just combined.

  5. Form the dough into a 12-inch log on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

  8. Use a serrated knife to cut the log into 1/2-inch slices and bake again for 15 minutes or until crisp and golden brown.

  9. Let cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
