Anise and Fennel Soup Recipe

How To Make Anise and Fennel Soup

A warming soup made with delicate anise and fennel flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bulb fennel, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp anise seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  2. Add fennel and cook until softened.

  3. Add broth, anise seeds, salt, and pepper and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

  5. Use an immersion blender or transfer to a blender and puree until smooth.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
