How To Make Vegetarian Tomato Basil Pasta Recipe
A simple yet flavorful pasta dish with the sweetness of tomatoes and the freshness of basil.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cans of diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
- salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions

Cook the pasta according to package directions.

While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.

Simmer for 10-12 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Add chopped fresh basil and salt and pepper to taste.

Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with the sauce. Toss to combine.
