  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.

  5. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using the recommended amount for your specific waffle iron.

  6. Close the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.

  7. Remove the waffles from the iron and serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as fresh berries, maple syrup, or whipped cream.
