How To Make Panettone recipe
A classic Italian sweet bread that is light, fluffy, and packed with citrus and raisins.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup candied orange peel
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.

Add the yeast mixture and egg mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Punch down the dough and knead in the raisins and candied orange peel.

Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it into a greased 8-inch cake pan. Cover with the damp cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the panettone for 45 minutes or until it turns golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
