Ingredients

  • 4 cups of panettone bread, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  3. Add the panettone bread cubes to the bowl and gently combine until well-coated. If using raisins, add them now.

  4. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and press down gently to ensure the bread is evenly soaked.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
