How To Make Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 limes, juiced and zested
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, lime juice, lime zest, olive oil, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better flavor.

  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.

  4. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and juices run clear. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  6. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and serve hot.
