How To Make Hazelnut & Baileys Meringue Cake
A decadent and fluffy meringue cake infused with the rich flavors of hazelnut and Baileys Irish Cream.

Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp hazelnut extract
- 1 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed hazelnuts, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 225°F (110°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form.

Gradually add the granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

Fold in the vanilla extract, hazelnut extract, Baileys Irish Cream, and chopped hazelnuts until well combined.

Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a cake-like form, making sure to create an indentation in the center for the filling.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Then, turn off the oven and leave the meringue cake inside for an additional 30 minutes to cool and crisp up.

In the meantime, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Once the meringue cake is completely cool, carefully transfer it to a serving platter. Fill the center indentation with the whipped cream and garnish with crushed hazelnuts.
