Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.

  2. Mash the avocados with a fork until desired consistency.

  3. Stir in the diced tomato, red onion, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Mix until well combined.

  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or quesadillas.
