Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the apples, sugar, oil, applesauce, and eggs.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch cake pan and bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Let the cake cool before serving.
