How To Make Dr Pepper Pulled Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (12 oz) Dr Pepper soda
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together Dr Pepper, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a boil over high heat.

  2. Add chicken breasts to the saucepan and reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

  3. Remove the chicken from the saucepan and shred with two forks.

  4. Return the shredded chicken to the saucepan and cook for an additional 5 minutes in the sauce.

  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
