How To Make Apple Pancakes with Cinnamon Butter & Syrup
Fluffy pancakes infused with fresh apples, topped with aromatic cinnamon butter and sweet syrup.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- For the cinnamon butter:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- For the syrup:
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
-
In a separate bowl, beat the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
-
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
-
Fold in the diced apple.
-
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
-
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
-
Repeat with the remaining batter, adjusting heat as needed.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the cinnamon butter by combining the softened butter, ground cinnamon, and powdered sugar in a small bowl. Mix well until creamy.
-
Heat the maple syrup in a small saucepan over low heat, or in the microwave, until warm.
-
Serve the apple pancakes hot, topped with a dollop of cinnamon butter and drizzled with maple syrup.
