Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the onions, carrots, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Stir in the frozen peas, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Transfer the meat mixture to a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.

  6. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the meat mixture.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
