How To Make Steamed Cranberry Roly-Poly

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup orange juice
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and using your fingers or a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the milk to the flour mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

On a well-floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle shape that is about 1/4 inch thick.

In a small bowl, mix together the cranberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange juice.

Spread the cranberry mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.

Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll up the dough into a log.

Place the rolled dough onto a piece of parchment paper and loosely wrap it, twisting the ends.

Place the wrapped dough into a steamer basket and steam for 45 minutes.

Remove the steamed roly-poly from the steamer basket and let it cool for a few minutes before unwrapping.

Slice the roly-poly into thick rounds and serve warm.
