Ingredients

  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of muesli
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, grated ginger, lemon juice, and toss to coat the apples evenly.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the muesli, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold butter and rub it into the dry mixture with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly into a baking dish. Sprinkle the muesli topping over the apples.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown and the apples are tender.

  6. Allow the crumble to cool slightly before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt.
