How To Make Bircher Muesli (Swiss Oatmeal)

Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 apple, grated
- 1/2 cup mixed berries
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
- 2 tablespoons raisins
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, milk, yogurt, and honey (or maple syrup). Mix well.

Add grated apple, mixed berries, chopped nuts, raisins, chia seeds, and vanilla extract to the oat mixture. Stir until well combined.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours to allow the oats to soften and the flavors to meld together.

Before serving, give the Bircher Muesli a good stir. If desired, add a splash of milk or yogurt to adjust the consistency.
