- 125g unsalted butter
- 125g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 125g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk
- Sprinkles for decoration (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a muffin tin with paper cases.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.

Sift in the flour and gently fold it into the mixture.

Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until the batter is smooth.

Divide the batter equally between the paper cases, filling each one about two-thirds full.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cakes are golden and spring back when lightly touched.

Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Once cooled, you can decorate the cakes with sprinkles if desired.
