
How To Make Sour Cream Cut-Out Cookies

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and egg. Mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Divide the dough in half and wrap each portion in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes.

Place the cut-out cookies onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
