How To Make Rugelach
Make a fresh batch of everyone’s favorite dessert! With these cookie recipes, you can bake all kinds of different sweet treats. Make a classic snack with chocolate chip cookies. Or, switch it up by adding nuts, raisins, and other ingredients to keep things interesting.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
- 4 ounces cream cheese, chilled and cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup raspberry jam
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a food processor, combine flour and salt. Add butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Pulse until the dough comes together.

Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Wrap each part in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

On a floured surface, roll out each dough portion into a 1/8-inch thick circle.

Spread raspberry jam on each dough circle, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Sprinkle with walnuts and chocolate chips.

Cut each dough circle into 8 wedges. Roll up each wedge starting from the wider end.

Place the rolled rugelach on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg wash.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

Allow rugelach to cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar.
