How To Make Krumkake

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 100 grams all-purpose flour
- 75 grams granulated sugar
- 75 grams unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- Whipped cream or jam, for serving
Instructions

Preheat the krumkake iron or the electric krumkake maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale and creamy.

Gradually add the melted butter, vanilla extract, and ground cardamom to the egg mixture, whisking well after each addition.

Sift the flour into the egg mixture and stir until well combined.

Drop 1 tablespoon of batter onto the center of the preheated krumkake iron. Close the iron and cook for about 30 seconds, or until the krumkake is golden brown.

Using a spatula or a krumkake cone roller, carefully remove the krumkake from the iron and immediately roll it into a cone shape. Let it cool and set in this shape.

Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the krumkake iron with a small amount of melted butter before each use.

Serve the krumkake filled with whipped cream or jam.
