How To Make Chocolate Meringue Cookies

- 3 egg whites

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy using an electric mixer on medium speed.

Gradually add the sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and cream of tartar while continuing to beat the mixture until it forms stiff peaks.

Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, creating small mounds.

Bake the cookies for about 1 hour, or until they are crisp on the outside.

Turn off the oven and leave the cookies inside for another 30 minutes to dry them out completely.
