How To Make Sangria Cake

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Zest of 1 orange
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

In another bowl, combine the red wine, orange juice, lemon juice, orange zest, and lemon zest.

Gradually add the wine mixture to the cake batter, mixing until well incorporated.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
