- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Gradually add the hot water and mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Fold in the dark chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
