- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, sift together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.

In another mixing bowl, cream the softened butter using an electric mixer. Gradually add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the cream mixture. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
