- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk
- Sprinkles for decoration (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely before frosting.

In a separate mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and fluffy.

Once the cake has cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top and sides.
