How To Make Dorayaki Recipe

A traditional Japanese cake with a sweet red bean filling sandwiched between two fluffy pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweet red bean paste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder.

  2. Beat the eggs and add them to the dry ingredients.

  3. Add milk and vanilla extract, and mix to form a batter.

  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and grease lightly.

  5. Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  6. Repeat until all batter is used up.

  7. Once the pancakes are cool, place a dollop of red bean paste onto one pancake and sandwich another pancake on top.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
