  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of buttermilk

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead for a minute.

  4. Shape the dough into a disc about 1 inch thick.

  5. Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat.

  6. Cook the farls for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

  7. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly before serving.
