How To Make Make Ahead French Toast

- 8 slices of bread
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Powdered sugar, for garnish
- Fresh berries, for serving
Instructions

Grease a baking dish and arrange the bread slices in a single layer.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread slices, making sure all the bread is coated.

Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Remove the plastic wrap and bake the French toast for 25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Garnish with powdered sugar and serve with fresh berries.
