Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

  8. Cool on baking sheet for a minute before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
