How To Make Johnny’s Grilled Cheese Recipe

This classic comfort sandwich gets an upgrade with gooey, melted cheese and crispy buttery bread.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat a pan or griddle over medium heat.

  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

  3. Place 4 slices of bread, butter side down, in the pan.

  4. Top each slice with a slice of cheddar cheese, then place the remaining slices of bread on top, butter side up.

  5. Cook until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  6. Serve hot.
