How To Make Johnny’s Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.

  2. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve with toppings such as shredded cheese, chopped onions, and sour cream.
