How To Make Captain George’s Fish Tacos Recipe
Deliciously crispy fish tacos with a homemade chipotle lime coleslaw topping.

Ingredients
- 1 lb flaky white fish (tilapia or cod)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1-2 tsp chipotle chili powder
- 8-10 small corn tortillas
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

Preheat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F.

Cut the fish into small pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.

In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper.

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and hot sauce.

Dip each piece of fish into the milk mixture, then coat it in the flour mixture.

Fry the fish in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

In a separate bowl, combine the cabbage, cilantro, mayonnaise, lime juice, and chipotle powder.

To assemble the tacos, warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave, add some fish pieces, and top with the coleslaw.
