  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Oil for frying
  • Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

  3. Coat each chicken wing with the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or Dutch oven to about 350°F (175°C).

  5. Fry the chicken wings in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 10 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on a paper towel.

  6. In a separate bowl, mix hot sauce and melted butter.

  7. Place the fried wings on a baking sheet and brush them with the hot sauce mixture.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through.

  9. Serve hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
