  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In the bread machine pan, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. Add bread flour, butter, and salt to the pan. Select the dough setting on your bread machine and start the cycle.

  3. Once the dough cycle is complete, transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Punch it down and knead it a few times.

  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape them into balls. Place the balls on a greased baking sheet and cover them with a clean kitchen towel. Let them rise for 30-45 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
