Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup rye flour
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients into the bread machine according to machine instructions, starting with the liquids and finishing with the yeast.

  2. Select the “Basic” or “Whole Wheat” setting on the bread machine and choose the desired crust color if applicable.

  3. Press start and let the bread machine do its magic. The bread will take approximately 3 hours to bake.

  4. Once the bread is finished baking, remove it from the machine and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
