Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 250 grams ground beef
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a pie dish.

  2. Spread the grated potatoes evenly on the bottom and sides of the pie dish, pressing down firmly.

  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened.

  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  5. Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  6. Pour the Bolognese sauce into the potato crust and spread it evenly.

  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

  9. Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving. Slice and enjoy!
