How To Make Chilli Marrakech

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and peppers. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

  3. Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
