Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, milk, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

  2. Roll the macaroni mixture into small balls, about 1-2 tablespoons in size. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow them to firm up.

  3. In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (180°C). Carefully drop the mac and cheese balls into the hot oil, frying in batches for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. Remove the fried balls from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

  5. Serve the fried mac and cheese balls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
