Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground venison
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the venison over medium heat.

  2. Add in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, onion, garlic, and green bell pepper. Stir to combine.

  3. Add in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

  4. Pour in the beef broth and stir.

  5. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
