How To Make Green Tomato Chutney Recipe
A tangy and spicy chutney made with green tomatoes and spices.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped green tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds.

When they start to splutter, add the chopped onion and sauté till it turns translucent.

Add the grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chillies and sauté for a minute.

Now add the chopped green tomatoes, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.

Cook for around 10 minutes on low flame, till the tomatoes turn soft.

Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste. Give it a final mix and switch off the flame.

Allow the chutney to cool down and then transfer it to a clean jar.
