How To Make Green Chutney
Love Indian food? We can’t blame you! If you haven’t yet, you might want to trade in your regular condiments and try making your own chutney at home. After all, this savory and often spicy South Asian food item can instantly make all kinds of dishes from Indian cuisine a whole lot better. Use it as a dipping sauce for freshly-made naan bread, as a toast spread, or pair it with curries. So if you’re interested, you’ll have lots of fun playing around with these chutney recipes.

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 inch ginger, peeled and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed
Instructions

In a blender, combine cilantro leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, ginger, garlic, lemon juice, cumin powder, sugar, and salt.

Blend until smooth, adding water little by little to achieve desired consistency.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and serve with samosas, pakoras, or as a spread on sandwiches.
