Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados, pitted and mashed
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the avocado, onion, tomato, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir in the jalapeño and sugar.

  3. In another bowl, mix together 1 diced tomato, 1/4 diced onion, 1 chopped jalapeño, 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, and 2 tbsp lime juice to make salsa fresca.

  4. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
