How To Make Christmas Tree Cupcakes
Delicious and festive cupcakes topped with buttercream frosting and a candy cane tree topper.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
- Red and green food coloring
- Mini candy canes
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Gradually add in dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until batter is smooth.

Divide batter evenly among the cupcake liners.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cupcakes cool.

In a large bowl, beat 1/2 cup softened butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and milk until frosting is smooth.

Divide frosting into two bowls and add red food coloring to one bowl and green to the other.

Pipe frosting onto cupcakes in a tree shape, using mini candy canes as the tree topper.
