How To Make Water Chestnut and Pork Stir-Fry

A delicious stir-fry with the crunch of water chestnuts and the savory flavor of pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork loin, sliced thinly
  • 1 can of water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, cornstarch, salt and pepper to make a marinade.

  2. Place the sliced pork in the marinade and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Heat a wok or a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and let it heat for 30-60 seconds.

  4. Add in the minced garlic and stir until fragrant.

  5. Add in the sliced onions and stir-fry until they turn translucent.

  6. Add in the marinated pork and stir-fry until browned.

  7. Add in the sliced water chestnuts and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.

  8. Adjust seasoning as needed.

  9. Serve hot with rice.
