Ingredients
- 4 ripe plantains
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slices of fried cheese
Instructions

Peel the plantains and cut them into chunks.

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the plantain chunks.

Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the plantains are tender.

Drain the plantains and return them to the pot.

Mash the plantains with a fork or a masher until smooth.

Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add the mashed plantains to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Season with salt and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
